The Fresh Grocer

Fantasy location in Colonie, NY (Albany County)

 The Fresh Grocer have been part of Wakefern for just over a decade, but may be overshadowed by sister chains ShopRite and Price Rite outside the Philadelphia area if not the Tri-State. The Fresh Grocer are opening a new store next spring or summer downstate in Oakdale in a former Best Yet Market (which had moved and is now a Lidl) and Fresh Food Market (short-lived unrelated indie). Back Upstate, ShopRite just closed a handful of stores in the Capital Region and one outside the Catskills. They could've stayed within the company, even though there'd be confusion with The Fresh Market in Latham with the generic use of "Fresh". A rebrand would mean less baggage and a new focus. Price Chopper/Market 32 bought the five, but will sublease one, working on two, and making a couple their own (which I had to delete).

Albany - NY 5, Westgate Shopping Center, former Price Chopper

Colonie - NY 5 (would also have to be old Price Chopper as fake photo of old ShopRite now makes no sense)

Slingerlands - NY 85 & Vista Dr., former ShopRite

Ellenville - US 209, former ShopRite

Clifton Park - Wilton Mall, former ShopRite
